FAQ
What is a “cleanse” and why should I do it?
There are two types of cleanses. One is a colon cleanse, the other is what I recommend, which is a body cleanse. With the body cleanse you are not just cleansing your colon; you’re cleansing your liver and kidneys. This is equivalent to changing the oil and replacing the filter in your car. Increasing the life of your engine and increasing the mileage per gallon of gas.
What are the health benefits to doing a body cleanse?
There are several benedictional benefits to cleansing. Increase energy and endurance. More effectively lose unwanted fat and inches when combined with proper diet and exercise. Increase resistance to oxidative stress. Improve mental and physical performance. Strengthen the immune system. Support heart health. Aid digestive health. These are only a few.
How much weight should I expect to lose per month?
The average person will lose 15-20lbs per month. The majority of this will be body fat not lean muscle.
What’s the difference between a colon cleanse and a body cleanse?
A colon cleanse, as the name refers to, is just a colon cleanse nothing more nothing less. In other words it cleans the intestines. It is designed to reduce the waste in your intestines. An Isagenix body cleanse is designed to cleanse the liver and kidney of impurities and toxins allowing for accelerated removal of impurities from the body, and nourish the body with vital nutrients to rapidly revive health. A cleansed and revitalized body is stronger, resists illness better, is more efficient, and performs at a higher level than one that is filled with impurities. Many people notice an ability to reach and maintain their ideal weight.
How much weight should I expect to lose doing a 30 day cleanse?
The amount of weight is going to vary dependent upon how much you have to lose. It will depend also on your level of activity, if you are male or female (males tend to lose more weight, easier), what medications you’re taking, and a number of other variables.
I’m a type II diabetic. What should I expect?
First consult your doctor before starting any dietary supplements or exercise. Something you may notice is your medications may need to be reduced. Again consult your physician. Also you will shed fat.
I’m taking a blood thinner. Is this safe for me to use while on a blood thinner?
First consult your doctor before starting any dietary supplements or exercise. If you use a blood thinner such as Coumadin, you will need to be monitored by your doctor more closely to find out how this is affecting you.
Will I need to cleanse for the rest of my life?
Yes, if you want the most health benefits. When you stop cleansing toxins will start to build up again.
Will I lose weight when I cleanse?
Yes, one of the side benefits is weight loss. As your body, liver and kidneys are cleansed you will begin to shed fat. You’ll find that losing unwanted fat and inches will occur easier, while maintaining lean muscle.
Do I need a coach?
I would say yes, but obviously it’s your decision. With a coach you have the ability of asking question as to what works and what doesn’t. Your coach can give you advice on nutrition, exercise and diet; as well as giving you support on the tough days when you’re ready to quit. I have coached hundreds of people to shed unwanted pounds of fat.
